A PROCESS OF ELIMINATION

Housebreaking your new puppy need not break you.

Take your puppy outside immediately after eating, playing or napping (approx every 2 hours) Keep him on this schedule will prevent him from making mistakes in the house.
When taking him out use the command "Potty or Outside" When he is doing his business outside make sure you phrase him.

Mistakes do happen and when it does correct him with a firm NO and the take him outside and when he does his business outside praise him lavishly.

Paper Training & Crate Training

Choose an area in the kitchen or bathroom Then place newspaper on floor or puppy pads.
When puppy eliminates replace with clean paper.

Crate Training

You should crate your puppy several times a day. They will try not to soil their home.
Place a blanket in there to make it cozy. Everytime you take your puppy out take him for a walk so he can do his business.
If you leave a puppy in the crate for long periods he may have an accident. They need several bathroom breaks.
Never use your crate for punishment it should always be a haven for your pup not a jail cell.
